Weather forecast for Middle Tennessee to include Gallatin and Sumner County: Friday, becoming mostly cloudy with an 80 percent chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. Winds south, southwest 5 to 10 miles per hour, with gusts up to 20 miles per hour. Winds shifting north late afternoon. Highs upper 80’s, lows low 60’s. Saturday, mostly cloudy and cooler with a 60 percent chance of showers and a slight chance of an afternoon thunderstorm. Winds northeast 5 miles per hour. Highs upper 70’s, lows low 60’s. Sunday, mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of isolated showers, maybe a rumble of thunder in the afternoon. Winds north, northeast 5 miles per hour. Highs upper 70’s, lows low 50’s. Monday, becoming mostly sunny by mid-morning and breezy during the day. Clear and cooler at night. Winds northeast 5 to 10 miles per hour, with gusts up to 20 miles per hour. Highs upper 70’s, lows upper 40’s. Tuesday, sunny and mild during the day, clear and cool at night. Winds northeast 5 to 10 miles per hour. Highs upper 70’s, lows upper 40’s. Wednesday, mostly sunny and warmer. Winds east, southeast early, shifting north, northwest 5 miles per hour by the afternoon. Highs low 80’s, lows around 50. Thursday, mostly sunny with some passing clouds. Winds northeast 5 to 10 miles per hour, shifting east, southeast late. Highs mid 80’s, lows low 50’s. Highs and Lows for Gallatin and Sumner County: Friday, 87 & 62, Saturday, 77 & 62, Sunday, 78 & 53, Monday, 78 & 48, Tuesday, 79 & 49, Wednesday, 81 & 50, Thursday, 85 & 51. Precipitation totals for Middle Tennessee on Friday are expected to range from a trace up to 1.50 inches, with locally higher amounts possible where heavier showers and thunderstorms occur. Long Range Outlook for Middle Tennessee: The Climate Prediction Center 6 to 10 Day Outlook favors above normal temperatures and near to above normal precipitation for 7th through the 11th of October. Note: Take these outlook charts as a guide only, the air in our atmosphere is constantly moving and any long-range forecast past 3 to 4 days is always changing. See the National Blend of Models (NBM) model chart for the most reliable temperature guidance, and the European Center for Medium Range Weather (ECMWF) model chart for the best precipitation outlook throughout the forecast period.
